Interrogation of terrorists led to location in Khan Yunis


Intel gleaned by Shin Bet from interrogations of terrorists led to the successful return to Israel of the bodies of 5 hostages taken on October 7th.

Maya Goren was 56 at the time of her abduction on October 7th. She was a kindergarten teacher in Nahal Oz. She and her husband Avner were killed during the terrorist attacks on Oct 7th, and her body was taken to Gaza. Her return to Israel allows her to be buried next to her husband. Maya and Avner's four children survived.

Oren Goldin, 35, was a member of Kibbutz Yitzhak's emergency team. He is survived by his wife, Oshrit, and their two-year old twins. Oren was the first to respond as the attacks began on Oct 7th, leaving his home. He was killed that morning, and taken to Gaza along with three of his fellow team members.

Ravid Katz, 51, was a youth educator from Nir Oz. He too was killed during the terrorist attacks on Oct 7th, his body then abducted to Gaza. He is survived by his wife, Revital, and their 3 children.

Sgt. Kiril Brodski, 19 and from Ramat Gan, was killed in fighting on October 7th near Kibbutz Nirim.

Staff Sgt. Tomer Ahimas, 20 and from Levahim, was killed while battling terrorist insurgents in Nirim on October 7th.
