"Accompanied by her partner and two close friends, Shoham attended the party that night, eager to celebrate life. However, tragedy struck just 30 minutes after their arrival when a Hamas assailant indiscriminately opened fire on the crowd. Despite their attempts to flee, Shoham and her friends did not survive the attack. Identifying the victims, including my dear friend Shoham, took over a week, prolonging the agony for her family who clung to hope that she had been merely kidnapped. The realization of her ultimate fate was devastating."
